About the Jerusalem Stone known for timeless beauty Jerusalem Stone is a general term that is used to identify the dolomite limestone that is quarried in the area surrounding the Holy City of Jerusalem.   The stone has been quarried for more than 4000 years, and was used to construct nearly all of the historic buildings of the City of Jerusalem. Every sculpture of mine is the result of months of work, from the initial stage of hand-carving the Jerusalem Stone to the final polished judaica product. In this sculpture, I show the natural look and colors of the Jerusalem Stone.
